Learn Ab Training Secrets Even the Pros Don't Know About...

Learn Ab Training Secrets Even the Pros Don't Know About...

-------------------------------------------------------------
Straight Talk on Abdominal Exercises and "The Best
Abdominal Exercises You've Never Heard Of"
-------------------------------------------------------------

This book really struck a chord with people who are fed up with slow or non-existent results from the typical ab exercises. People can literally do crunches for YEARS and never get the results they want. The exercises in this book will provide you with more results in a MONTH than you've experienced in your entire abdominal training career.

When you put these new exercises into practice, you will achieve goals such as:

- a wasp-tight waist (it just keeps getting tighter the more you do these exercises)

- six-pack abs that stand out in a crowd (even when bodyfat levels creep up, your abs will be so well-developed that they STILL look fantastic!)

- rock-solid core strength that lets you squat and deadlift maximum weights with no belt, injury free. It's strength that will improve EVERY aspect of your training (and sports performance!)

- most importantly, confidence that the exercises you're doing for your abs are WORKING and working FAST (don't underestimate that!)

You WILL get results like this if you work at these exercises. That's a promise.

And, if you want to know why crunches are NOT a good exercise for flattening your abs (even though everybody thinks they are) and you want to know what exactly IS, you need to read the letter that I'm going to give you a link to at the bottom of this page. The answer is in it (and it's a real eye-opener!).

But first, I want you to read this note from an extremely knowledgeable professional trainer from Sydney, Australia, by the name of George Hynec, written to the author of "The Best Ab Exercises," Nick Nilsson. He's given me permission to share this with you.

---
Hi Nick,

I had a look at the book yesterday and it did not let me down. Congratulations Nick - this stuff is bloody brilliant. First I thought - yeah right, how many ab exercises that we have not seen could possible be out there? Well, you obviously proved that there are plenty of them. To be honest, I only knew one.

It's clear that lot of imagination, lateral thinking and your vast experience went into this. All the exercises are the real deal - functional stuff. The book is a breeze to read, well-structured and the pics and video clips take all the guesswork out.

Any trainer out there who wants to keep up to date with the latest in training techniques should have this book.

George Hynec MA Training ISSA S.M.A.C (Specialist in Martial Arts Conditioning) Instructor RKC (Russian Kettlebell Challenge) Instructor Sydney, Australia
---

With these exercises, you'll be developing your abs at an EXPONENTIAL rate (2x, 3x and even 4x faster!) compared to what is possible with regular crunches.

You see, no matter how hard you work at crunches, they're just NOT the best tool for the job. They simply don't give your abdominal muscles enough resistance to really fully develop and they don't activate the powerful, DEEP muscles in your midsection where the real stomach-flattening and waist-tightening results are.

It's kind of like trying to build yourself a house out of Lego blocks. Sure, it may look like a house when you're done but MAN, it's going to take a long time to get there AND it's not going to be very strong when you try and use it.

You need the RIGHT tools for the job and you need them NOW, before you waste another second on exercises that are just spinning your wheels.

Nick is so confident these exercises are going to change your ab training forever, he would like to offer you five of these "Best Abdominal" exercises to try out so you can see (and feel!) for yourself just how powerful these exercises are.

You see, he wants to provide you with these 5 exercises because the one thing that upsets him most is seeing people wasting their effort in the gym on exercises that just don't get the job done. They don't get results and then they quit. It's a shame...he and I both hate to see it happen, but we see it everyday.

Try these complimentary exercises and you'll feel the difference from the VERY FIRST REP.

Click this link right now to sign up for the five exercises, delivered right to your email box for the next five days.

5 Abdominal Exercises

And, as I mentioned above, if you want to know why crunches are NOT a good exercise for flattening your abs and you want to know what exactly IS, please read the letter at this link. The answer is in it (and it'll surprise you!):

Crunches

Sports Supplements

Recommended Supplements
By Gary Matthews

There is a lot of confusion about supplementation, how to use, what to use and how much to use.

Here you will find best supplements that will provide you with the knowledge to build muscle, burn body fat, have more energy and have a quicker recovery from training stimulus.

Remember that supplements do not replace proper diet and exercise but when used with the right training program will help you make faster progress towards your goals.

Please remember that before taking on a training and supplementation program and if you are on medication always consult with your physician first.

Weight Gain and Strength

Creatine Monohydrate

Creatine was introduced to the market place some seven years ago and has since become the most popular bodybuilding supplement of all time.

Creatine can significantly increase lean muscle mass, improve performance, increase energy levels and speed up recovery rates. Creatine also stimulates the uptake of amino acids in the proteins, which means that the more that it's used the more muscle that may be grown.

No wonder athletes who use it have such of an edge over those who do not. Creatine has the effect of super-hydrating muscle cells with water and it also enhances muscle growth making muscle fibres bigger and stronger.

Another unexpected benefit attributed to creatine was discovered as well: creatine accelerates fat loss, while building lean body mass!

Dosage; A loading phase of 20grams a day for the first five days then a maintenance phase of 5grams a day from then on.

Whey Protein Isolate

The highest yield of protein currently available and is extracted from milk. It is a top supplement for athletes because of its high proportion of amino acids that are used for building muscle tissue.

It is also high in potassium, which is essential for muscle growth.

Whey protein is also an antioxidant and a good immune system builder. Whey protein is good because a good intake of protein balances blood sugar levels, when the blood sugar levels stay balanced, you are not as prone to rampant eating and have more energy and greater fat loss. Very important and must use supplement for bodybuilders and dieters alike.

Dosage 20gms - 100gms a day.

Tibulus Terrestris

Tribulus terrestris is a plant that grows in many tropical and moderate areas of the world and is very rich in chemical compounds such as saponins, flavonoids and alkaloids.

Tribulus terrestris is a testosterone enhancer. Studies show that it increases sex drives in both men and women. It increases testosterone levels differently, instead of being a testosterone precursor; it leads to the production of the luteinizing hormone (LH).

When LH levels are increased, the natural production of testosterone also increases. Anyone who wants to increase muscle growth would be wise to try supplementing with Tribulus terrestris.

Studies show that by using 750mg a day of this supplement an increase in free testosterone of 40% can be expected. Highly recommended for libido and muscle enhancing.

Dosage as per bottle.

Glutamine

What is Glutamine? It is a non-essential amino acid, which makes up to 60% of the amino acids in the bodies muscles. Glutamine containing products are protein shakes and good quality protein powders; it can also be added to protein shakes for added potency.

Muscle growth requires high levels of Glutamine so supplementation with Glutamine is essential for the serious athlete. Glutamine is also needed by the digestive tract and the immune system as a fuel.

Glutamine will provide your muscles with a desired fullness that athletes and bodybuilders desire. Glutamine is the bodybuilding supplement that bodybuilders add to their diet for their health muscle building regimes. May also be helpful for recovery.

Dosage 5grams to 15 grams per day.

Weight Loss

Chitosan

Chitosan is a fibre whose fat-binding ability is so strong that it can be used effectively to promote weight loss. The most important health property of dietary fibre is its ability to bind to fat molecules in the digestive system, which in turn are excreted.

Since Chitosan can't be digested, the fat absorbed is passed out of the body. Together with a low fat eating plan and regular exercise, Chitosan is a great choice for keeping off those unwanted pounds. Try taking 15 minutes before a meal to inhibit fat absorption.

Dosage: as per the bottle

Ma Huang

A popular Asian herb that has been used for over 5,000 years is Ma Huang; it was first used by the ancient Chinese people as a decongestant.

The active ingredient is ephedrine, which has been shown to contain powerful fat burning characteristics which can enhance thermogenesis, the body's burning of fat for energy.

It also increases the basal metabolic rate, which allows your body to burn calories faster and more efficiently. By mobilizing stored fat and carbohydrate reserves, Ma Huang works to reduce your appetite and aids in helping you lose excess weight.

Try combining with White willow bark and Guarana as the fat burning and muscle sparring effects of this stack are fantastic.

Dosage 300mgs twice a day.

Zhi Shi

Citrus aurantium is commonly referred to as bitter orange. Zhi shi is the immature dried fruit of citrus aurantium. Zhi Shi may be more thermogenic than ephedrine and has fewer side effects.

It can also be very effective stimulating the metabolism (this stimulation causes an increase in the metabolic rate - thermogenesis

- which burns calories) without any undesirable effects on the nervous system. Citrus aurantium may also act as an appetite suppressant.

Try combining with caffeine, white willow bark, cayenne and green tea for greater thermogenic action.

Dosage 300mg three times a day.

Pyruvate

Pyruvate is naturally occurring substance found in weight loss and herbal 'fat-burners'.
Studies have show that using diet pills containing pyruvate while restricting caloric intake slightly and participating in strength training will boost your metabolism resulting in weight loss.

Pyruvate produces ATP, which makes it a great supplement to take with creatine and ALC (Alpha Lipioc Acid) comes in Sodium and Calcium, try Calcium.

Dosage 1gram to 5grams per day.

Energy and Recovery

Bcaas

Branched Chain Amino Acids, are essential amino acids, which means that the body by itself cannot produce them so sufficient quantities must be obtained from supplementation.

The three Bcaas (Valine, Leucine, and Isoleucine) make up approximately 70 percent of the amino acids in the body. Bcaas are unique in that they are utilized directly by muscle tissue during long workouts.

Since your body only has a limited number of these amino acids, it can be forced to break down lean muscle tissue when dietary sources aren't meeting your needs.

Try taking these 45 mins before training and 45 minutes after so you can push yourself harder, faster, and longer through the most intense training bouts and competitive events.

Bcaas can be found in most good protein powders these days.

Dosage 5 grams - 15 grams

Ribose

Ribose is a simple sugar that occurs naturally in all living cells and in one of the simplest molecule used by the body to build and restore energy.

Ribose is very important for the production of ATP. ATP is the major source of energy used by cells including muscle tissue for normal function. Ribose has been shown to increase muscular levels, boost endurance, and promote recovery! It is also an important way to increase your energy levels and aid in the recovery of muscle tissue after intense workouts.

Another new supplement which looks very promising.

Follow dosage on the bottle.

Nacn-Acetyl-Cysteine

Nac is a powerful anti-oxidant and its ability to neutralize free radicals helps slow down the ageing process.

Nac has all the properties of l-cysteine and may be the most cost effective way to boost peptide levels in the body. Nac has been shown to safeguard against a variety of toxic hazards such as cigarette smoke, auto exhaust, and certain herbicides.

It can also play a beneficial role in prostate and respiratory conditions. Surprisingly, it is more effective than supplementing with cysteine, methionine, or even glutathione itself!

A very good cost effective anti-oxidant.

Follow dosage on the bottle.

Multi-Vitamins and Minerals

Multi-vitamin and mineral supplements are perhaps the most important single supplement that can be consumed by bodybuilders and athletes and the first supplement you should buy.

For the human body to perform at its optimum, it must be fed a vast supply of vital nutrients. If the body becomes deficient in just one of these essential vitamins or minerals optimum efficiency and performance declines.

People think that since you can not put on pounds of muscle that they are a waste of time to take them but if your body is deficient in just one of the essential vitamins and minerals you will never reach your full potential.

Try and buy the Multis that have the higher potency mineral formulas.

Superset Your Way To A Muscular Upper Body

Superset Your Way To A Muscular Upper Body
By: Tom Venuto

There's an old Chinese saying, "Good things come in pairs," and in the case of strength training, that maxim is 100% true. Pairing two exercises is an easy and effective way to build more muscle in less time... and MUSCLE is your most powerful weapon against aging!

The bottom line is; you don't have all day long to stay in the gym. However, you also realize that staying healthy and keeping that body of yours in the type of prime condition that defies age and looks great in a swimsuit is also a very high priority.

So how do you balance the need to maintain your health and a great looking body with a busy schedule? Simple: What you need is time efficient training!

One of the easiest, fastest and most effective ways to achieve time efficiency in your workouts is to use pairs of exercises called "antagonistic supersets."

An antagonistic superset is where you perform two exercises in a row for opposite (antagonistic) muscle groups with virtually no rest in between. Example: alternate chest exercises like bench presses with upper back exercises like rows. Take no rest between exercises, and rest 60 seconds after the second exercise before repeating the pair 1-2 more times.

Each repetition should be performed at the usual slow, controlled speed of 2-3 seconds during the lifting phase and 3-4 seconds during the lowering phase; it's the rest between each exercise that gets eliminated and that's what gives you an effective workout faster.

Build Real Muscle Instead of Fake!

Body Part Isolation vs. Complex Movements in Strength Training - Build Real Muscle Instead of Fake!
By Mike Geary

Working as a fitness professional, there is one type of question I get all the time that shows that many people are missing the big picture regarding the benefits of strength training. This popular question usually goes something like this:

“What exercise can I do to isolate my _______ (insert your muscle of choice – abs, quads, biceps, triceps, etc)?”

It doesn’t matter which muscle someone is asking about, they always seem to be asking how to ‘isolate’ it. My first response to this question is always – “Why in the world would you want to isolate it?”

Shin Splints

Shin splints are one of the most commoninjuries known to athletes.

Shin splints are a term commonly used to describe most lower leg pain. However, shin splints are only one of several conditions that affect the lower leg. The most common causes of lower leg pain are: general shin soreness; shin splints; and stress fractures. For the purpose of this article, I'll only be addressing the first two. I'll save the topic of stress fractures for another issue.

Before I move on to shin splints, I want to quickly cover the topic of general shin soreness. Shin soreness is simply a muscular overuse problem. By using the R.I.C.E.R. regime you'll be able to overcome 95 percent of all general shin soreness within about 72 hours.

For lower leg pain that goes beyond general shin soreness, a more aggressive approach must be taken. Lets now have a look at shin splints in a little more detail.

What are Shin Splints?

Although the term shin splints is often used to describe a variety of lower leg problems, it actually refers specifically to a condition called Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome (MTSS). To better understand shin splints, or MTSS, lets have a look at the muscles, tendons and bones involved.

Overtraining

So, what is overtraining? Overtraining is the result of giving your body more work or stress than it can handle. Overtraining occurs when a person experiences stress and physical trauma from exercise faster than their body can repair the damage.

At this point in time there are no tests which can be performed to determine whether you are over trained or not. You can’t go to your local doctor or even a sports medicine laboratory and ask for a test for overtraining. However, while there are no tests for overtraining, there are a number of signs and symptoms that you should be on the lookout for. These signs and symptoms should act as a warning bell, which will give you advanced notice of possible dangers to come.

There are quite a number of signs and symptoms to be on the lookout for. To make it easier for you to recognize them I’ve grouped them into either physical or psychological signs and symptoms.

Now, suffering from any one or two of the following signs or symptoms doesn’t automatically mean you are suffering from overtraining. However, if you recognize a number, say 5 or 6 of the following signs and symptoms, then it may be time to take a close look at the volume and intensity of your work load.

Warm Up Activities & Stretching Exercises

Warm up properly, and reduce the risk of sports injury!

The warm up activities are a crucial part of any exercise regime or sports training. The importance of a structured warm up routine should not be under estimated when it comes to the prevention of sports injury.

The Warm Up

An effective warm up has a number of very important key elements. These elements, or parts, should all be working together to minimize the likelihood of sports injury from physical activity.

Warming up prior to any physical activity does a number of beneficial things, but primarily its main purpose is to prepare the body and mind for more strenuous activity. One of the ways it achieves this is by helping to increase the body’s core temperature, while also increasing the body’s muscle temperature. By increasing muscle temperature you're helping to make the muscles loose, supple and pliable.

An effective warm up also has the effect of increasing both your heart rate and your respiratory rate. This increases blood flow, which in turn increases the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the working muscles. All this helps to prepare the muscles, tendons and joints for more strenuous activity.

Keeping in mind the aims or goals of an effective warm up, we can then go on to look at how the warm up should be structured.

Obviously, it's important to start with the easiest and most gentle activity first, building upon each part with more energetic activities, until the body is at a physical and mental peak. This is the state in which the body is most prepared for the physical activity to come, and where the likelihood of sports injury has been minimized as much as possible. So, how should you structure your warm up to achieve these goals?

There are four key elements, or parts, which should be included to ensure an effective and complete warm up. They are:

Effective hamstring injury treatment & hamstring stretching exercises are vital to the overall health and condition of the hamstring muscles. The hamstring muscles are very susceptible to tears, strains and other common sporting injuries.

Those athletes particularly vulnerable are competitors involved in sports which require a high degree of speed, power and agility. Sports such as Track & Field (especially the sprinting events) and other sports such as soccer, basketball, tennis and football seem to have more than their fair share of hamstring injuries.

Sports Injuries

Running Injuries, Sports Injuries & Treatment for Pulled Muscles

A guide to cutting your recovery time by days, if not weeks!

I get a lot of questions from people asking about specific treatments for sports injuries, like running injuries and other common pulled muscle complaints. The unfortunate thing about most of these requests is that the injury occurred some time ago. This time lapse between the injury occurring, and treatment sort, is the biggest stumbling block to a full and complete recovery.

As always, before I sit down to write this newsletter, I like to spend a few hours surfing the net for information that relates to the topic I'm going to write about. In most cases, I find a great deal of useful information that relates to what I'm looking for; but not this time.

What I did find, was a lot of information which related to treating specific sports injuries long after they'd occurred. However, I found very little information relating to the immediate treatment of sports injuries. This was quite disappointing, because if people are only treating injuries long after they've occurred, they're really putting themselves at a great disadvantage.

What follows is a complete three part series of the most appropriate initial treatments for all soft tissue, sports injuries. This information will definitely cut your recover time by days, if not weeks.

5 Ways to Fit Fitness In

5 Ways to Fit Fitness In
By Marjorie Geiser

Five points to consider when you want to fit fitness into a hectic life.

When I tell people what I do for a living, many will tell me they wish they had the time to exercise, but just can’t seem to fit it in. This is one of the biggest excuses people give for not making exercise a part of their life. However, we all have time for the things we feel are important enough. Many people actually have more time than they think. Research now supports breaking increased activity into 10-minute blocks, which anyone can do without even thinking about it.

Do any of these scenarios sound like you?

• I am too tired to do anything after work so I drop down in front of the TV

• With the kids and husband, there is just no time for me

• I work too many hours and have too many responsibilities to get away from the office

• First thing in the morning I always spend an hour drinking my coffee and reading the paper

• I really need to relax in the middle of the day, so I read fiction books at lunchtime

• I’d love to exercise but there’s no place for me to do it

• I’m too tired at night and I hate to get up early in the morning

Although exercise is a normal part of my own life, I also try to include a 90-120 minute walk into town several times a week. As I was taking that walk the other day, I realized that there are things in my own life that I perceive I have no time for. This thought gave me a laugh, because here I was, spending 2 hours doing something that other people perceive they have no time for!

In this article, I will give you five helpful tips on how to fit regular fitness into your hectic lifestyle. Then, if you are able to find the time, lack of time will no longer be a valid excuse. My question to you will then be this: Do you continue to not exercise because you don’t have the time or don’t have the will? That is a subject for a different article.

A Guide for the Treatment & Prevention of Shoulder Injuries!

Frozen Shoulder & Rotator Cuff Injury

A Guide for the Treatment& Prevention of Shoulder Injuries!

Have you ever been working out at the gym, pushing a heavy weight and heard a popping sound in your shoulder. Or what about skiing down the slopes, and landing shoulder first in the snow at the bottom. Or maybe just having a friendly game of tennis, when all of a sudden there's a sharp pain in your shoulder.

These are all signs of the same thing; a shoulder injury. Whether you want to call it a frozen shoulder, a rotator cuff tear or tendinitis shoulder, it's really all the same. A tear or strain in the rotator cuff muscles and tendons.

The shoulder joint is a truly remarkable creation. It's quite a complex formation of bones, muscles and tendons and provides a great range of motion for your arm. The only downside to this extensive range of motion is a lack of stability, which can make the shoulder joint vulnerable to injury.

Tennis Elbow

A Guide to the Treatment and Prevention of Tennis Elbow!

Tennis Elbow is currently one of the most diagnosed conditions in the western world. It is extremely common, and can be excruciatingly painful.

The first two conditions are very similar, however the first effects the outside of the elbow (lateral), and the second effects the inside of the elbow (medial). For the purpose of this newsletter we'll stick with the treatment of lateral epicondylitis, or as it is more commonly known, tennis elbow.

What is Tennis Elbow?

Before we can understand just what tennis elbow is, it's important to have a general understanding of the structure of the elbow joint, and how the muscles, tendons, ligaments and bones help the elbow joint to function.
